Amateur Choristers
For several years now, amateur choristers have been invited to join professional musicians and choristers to perform a few movements of a work during the opening concert of the Montreal Baroque Festival, resulting in flamboyant performances that are unforgettable.
This year, the Grand Chœur will take part in the grand opening concert J.S. Bach: The Ascension, on June 18, 7pm, at Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours (400, Saint-Paul East, Stresst, Champ-de-Mars metro). With dazzling trumpets, brilliant soloists, a powerful choir and luxuriant orchestra, Bach’s jubilant oratorio highlights the ecstatic moment when Christ ascends from earth to the heavens: A euphoric concert illuminating the human spirit!
