ABOUT LES BAROCUDAS
Les Barocudas have established themselves as a audaciously innovative ensemble whose presence on the early music scene is as fascinating as it is eccentric. The Montreal-based trio, including Marie Nadeau-Tremblay (violin), Ryan Gallagher (viola da gamba), and Nathan Mondry (harpsichord), has charmed North American audiences with a refreshingly unconventional approach to early music performance. Since its inception in 2015, the group has toured Canada and the United States both performing and teaching; as well as recent showcases in New York City and Detroit etc, the ensemble has been invited to give masterclasses at the State University of New York in Fredonia, NY. Ever creative, Les Barocudas are well known for their theatrical music videos which have attracted a substantial online following. They released their début album, Les Barocudas, in 2017 and their second, La Peste, appears as of October 9th 2020 on the Atma Classique label.
