
Amateur Choristers
For several years now, amateur choristers have been invited to join professional musicians and choristers to perform a few movements of a work during the opening concert of the Montreal Baroque Festival, resulting in flamboyant performances that are unforgettable. This year, this opening concert will take place on June 15th, 2023 at 7 p.m. at Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel (400, Saint-Paul Street East). The singers will join the Ensemble Caprice, as well as two Scandinavian baroque ensembles. Would you like to take part ? Here are the details !
Registration deadline: Monday May 29th 2023, 5 pm
Rehearsal dates: June 5th, 9th and 13 2023, 7 pm to 8:30 pm at Église Unie St-Jean, (110 Saint-Catherine Street East)
Dress rehearsal, June 15th 5:30 pm to 6 pm at Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel
Repertoire: Gropen (traditional Norwegian folk dancing tune), Prologue, from Lully Opera Psyché, Remember Not, Lord, Our Offences, Purcell

Lab Baroque
Every year, the Festival offers the opportunity to amateur instrumentalists and choristers to sight-read and perform movements from a wonderful baroque work. In 2023, this activity ledded by Francis Colpron will take place on Saturday June 17 at 2:30, at l'Orbite, 406 Notre-Dame East, Montreal and will be exclusively for instrumentalists.
