Amateur Choristers

For several years now, amateur choristers have been invited to join professional musicians and choristers to perform a few movements of a work during the opening concert of the Montreal Baroque Festival, resulting in several flamboyant performances. This year, we don't want to spoil the fun, despite the circumstances!

We therefore invite choristers to participate in the virtual project LA MURALE BAROQUE. They will record two Bach chorales (Jesu, meine freude BWV 227 and Nun danket alle Gott BWV 386) with their laptop or their phone before May 2nd 2021. They will also participate in a virtual rehearsal (In French only) with choir master Marc-Olivier Lacroix on April 11th at 7 pm. The result will be projected on a giant screen during the opening concert on June 18th at 7 pm and on the Festival's website and social networks.
